Kabini : 16-17 April 2024 (2D/1N) Stay at : Evolve Back A wonderful trip, despite the heat and summer. We were constrained on time, ideally we should have added one more night stay, 2D/2N would have been perfect. However we did manage to do both the evening Water Safari & the day Road Safari. While we did not spot the elusive tiger or the leopard, we did have some majestic close up views of herds of elephants with amazing tuskers. And if you are a bird watcher of the feathered kind...you will really enjoy the safaris....and the natural beauty of the place. Would suggest do both the safaris as it gives you experience of two totally different areas of the sanctuary. Suggestion : #1) The authorities should have a minimum age for safari. Babies and small kids get restless on these 4+ hour safaris and cannot keep quiet, which is most essential. Maybe make availability of a creche at the resorts compulsory. #2) Like other wildlife sancturaies in India and abroad, there should be a *stop over area/clearance* for tea/snacks & facilities. Just add maybe another 30minutes to the duration of the safari. The highlight though was our stay at the Evolve Back. We are so happy that we chose it, though there were several other options ( which maybe as good ! ). From booking experience to check out, would score them 100/100...definitely 9+/10. The courtesy and service of the staff was better than expectation. And while not very fair to the rest of the staff, special mention for Sakshi, Rupa & Jahnvi. The meal options / cuisine was one of the best we have had at any wildlife resort. The chefs and staff at the restaurants were excellent and very accommodating. The accommodation was excellent. We were 5Pax, so we booked a Safari Hut (2pax) & a Pool Hut (3 Pax). Very tasteful and eco friendly design, lots of bamboo usage in the construction. The bathroom accommodated both a bath tub and a shower. The pool was of a decent size. Last but not the least, a special mention for Anish, our guide on both our safaris. Very pleasant, knowledgeable...loves elephants especially and a passionate environmentalist ! Our trip was too short, within which we also squeezed in both the safaris...so we really didnt have time to discover the very beautiful spread out property..nor have a dip at the pretty infinity pool. Suggestion: The living room needs AC. The verandah by the poolside should have ceiling fan. The evening cultural/tribal entertainment could be made better/interesting. The shop at the premise could keep some nicer souvenirs...like Kabini Magnets etc identifying with the place.

Fantastic family stay in their villa with star gazing open bed. The location and the water front is a treat to watch. Food: the chef & his team took personal care and served us some specific local cuisine & per our need. We were pampered personally by the chef & his service crew. Safari & cruise : Jungle safari is must in both boat & jeep rides. The naturalists are amazingly knowledgeable & keep us very engaged. We had rides with Mr Anish & Mr Shanmugam and were lucky to have them as our guide. We were lucky enough to spot 120+ elephants (especially tuskers) & many beautiful birds & finally a Tiger too. Hospitality: The hospitality, housekeeping team was very pleasant and the entire property is pristine & well maintained. Finally, do not miss the calm coracle ride & we were fortunate to have Mr. Sundara accompany us who is local and shared some local details.

Exceptional Stay at Evolve Back Kabini. Visiting this property from the last 10 years and the property ensures I am thinking when I will be coming back here next. The made to order menu at the Kuruba grill, the exceptional concierge service and last but the best arrangements to get on a jeep safari and spot a Tiger after waiting 10 long years was the silver lining on this trip and made it complete. Special thanks to Kanthi Aneesh, Machiah, Chandrashekar and Albin for their hard work and exceptional service.

Starting from the point of welcoming the guests, it was a unique experience. The property was at a beautiful location with beautiful sceneries. The food was delicious, room was very comfortable. There were events and activities to attend at the property back to back and at least minimum 02 nights must be spent to get the full experience.
